No Condemnation

At the end of Romans 7, the apostle Paul says that he doesn’t understand why he continues to sin even though he hates it. He expresses his frustration with the sin in his life and wonders who can save him. He gives thanks to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul then writes:

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. – Romans 8:1-2 (NIV)

When God forgives your sins through Jesus and justifies you by grace through faith in Him, you are set free from the condemnation and consequences of sin. Eternal death is no longer in your future. Eternal life is your destiny. There is NO condemnation for those who belong to Christ. Any talk of condemnation is a lie from the enemy. Who will you choose to believe today? The One who paid the penalty for your sin or the one who tries to keep you enslaved to it? Trust Jesus for He has set you free.
