We Are All Priests

Good Wednesday morning to you! We tend to think of ministers and priests as special people. Did you know that all followers of Jesus Christ are ministers? Every single follower of Jesus is a priest or a minister. Peter wrote:
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. – 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
When God calls us out of the darkness, He changes our status. He makes us priests or ministers. While we may not all preach or teach, we are all servants of God. We all have a ministry to do. We have all been made a part of God’s family and everyone in God’s family has a job. What is your job? What are you doing to serve the Lord? One of our jobs is to declare God’s praises for all that He has done in our lives. He has saved us and called us out of the darkness. He has given us a new family and a new ministry. Think about your new family and your God-given job today.
