For Whom Are You Working?

Good Monday morning to you! For whom are you working? There are many answers to that question. You could be working for a boss or a company. You could be working for a paycheck or yourself. You could be working for your family to be a good provider. What if there is a greater purpose for your work? The Apostle Paul wrote:

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. –  Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)

We are working for Jesus and not for just a paycheck or a benefits package. We work for the Lord and the reward He has promised when we work at it with all of our heart. So do your best today as though everything you do at work matters for eternity. That’s because it does.
