Choose Your Road

Jesus provides a sort of spiritual GPS for us when it comes to the road of life that we’re on in Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV):
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
If we are going to follow Him, we need to know a couple of things. First, we’re going to have to make a choice to follow Him. We have to choose the narrow road. A narrow road is harder to stay on and we must be more careful when navigating our way through life. Second, we’re going to have times when we are lonely. Jesus said that few find it. It doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try to reach people who are on the road to destruction. We must plead with people to join us on the narrow road for after all, this road leads to eternal life. Jesus is our guide on this road. He walked it before us. He’ll lead us down the road and through the gate that leads us home. Let us listen to His voice and follow His lead.
